Hey, I’m Cass.
A copywriter / content marketing specialist who speaks your customers’ language
My specialties
I’ll give you no-BS advice on what’ll get results for your specific business — or just do the dang thing for you.
Website content
Maybe you have a site, but you don’t love it.
Maybe you love your site, but it isn’t getting results.
Or maybe you know you should have a site, but feel totally lost on where to start.
I fix that by helping you…
Decide what pages you need and what they should say
Explain what you do in a way that stands out and sells your stuff
Make your existing site more SEO-friendly
Email marketing
Email marketing has the highest ROI of any marketing channel (3,600%, to be precise).
But that’s only if you’re taking advantage of it.
I show you how to do that by helping you…
Establish an email strategy that gets people to trust you, buy from you, then buy more from you
Get more opens, clicks, and conversions from your existing emails
Turn your newsletter into a sales asset
Spice up your funnels with personalization or segmentation
Content strategy
Maybe you have great website, email, and social content — but aren’t sure how to make all those individual pieces fit together.
I strengthen results across every marketing channel by helping you…
Give every page, message, and post a purpose
Nail down a brand voice that’s personal and consistent across channels
Turn your offering into a story that resonates
Get more people to know about you, trust you, buy from you, and recommend you
What about social media?
Ah, the hottest question these days. Here’s my spiel.
There are two types of social media experts:
The “content creator” — this is the person who’s great on camera, designs awesome graphics, and takes iconic photos and videos for each post. AKA, the sexy side of social media.
The “social media manager” — this is the person who sees the big picture, creates a strategy, plans and schedules posts, and makes data-driven adjustments based on how it all performs.
I fall into the “social media manager” bucket.
I’m not a designer, photographer, or videographer. Instead, I help you:
Come up with a strategy that adds purpose to every post
Plan engaging topics and write copy that resonates
Nail your brand voice, messaging, and storytelling
Manage engagement with followers
Analyze your performance to see what clicks best with your audience
Adjust your strategy to do more of what works (and less of what doesn’t)
Let’s get acquainted.
My writing skills have always been one of my strengths — but tbh, that’s not what makes me a great marketer.
My real edge is my ability to understand the thoughts, feelings, and perspectives of other people.
It can be a weakness. Like when it took me 45 minutes to order food at a fish market in the Netherlands because I kept letting other people go first — since “they were probably just running late for something.” (Nope, they were just Dutch.)
But it’s also a serious strength when it comes to marketing:
It turns good writing into compelling stories that drive action.
It makes leads and customers see their own potential, from getting their time back with useful software to feeling confident at a new dance studio.
It makes the difference between “just another ad” and a useful, purpose-driven message that makes a difference — for both businesses and their customers.
My mission is to bring transparency, value, and authenticity into everything I write. To me, that’s what makes good marketing great — and it’s the promise I make to every client I work with.

Industries I’ve written for
Hospitality
Entertainment
Nonprofits
Health + wellness
Home services
Fitness + dance
Coaching
Tech + SaaS
Professional services
Personal services
Ecommerce + retail
Restaurants + catering

5 non-worky facts about me
Let’s see…
I’m based in Big Bear Lake, CA — so I spend a lot of time off-roading, hiking, and fishing. But I really suck at skiing.
I have an American Dingo mix named Denali whose ears are almost as big as her personality.
I was a theater kid in high school, I sing and play the piano, and I was the president of my Toastmasters chapter. Do I enjoy public speaking? No. Am I good at it? Oh yeah.
Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings are my comfort movies.
I was raised on Dolly Parton and, according to my Spotify Wrapped, am in the top 0.1% of her listeners (but I also like metal and Irish music — a true renaissance woman).
“Great marketers have immense empathy for their audience.
They can put themselves in their shoes, live their lives, feel what they feel, go where they go, and respond how they’d respond.
That empathy comes out in content that resonates with your audience.”
— Rand Fishkin, co-founder + CEO of Moz

Anyone can Google some ideas and write their own copy for their website, email marketing, and more. In fact, it’s one of the things a lot of us are reluctant to outsource early on.
But here’s what I’ve heard from clients who tried that approach:
It wasted their time. Sure, you aren’t spending money on outsourcing — but you are spending your own time, which is your most valuable resource. Instead of working with customers and planning what’s next for your business, you end up at your desk creating content that you hope will bring results. That’s no fun for anyone.
The ROI was weaker. It takes years of trial-and-error before you can confidently create strategies and content that get results (I speak from experience). By outsourcing to a professional, you guarantee that everything you invest is based on proven, data-backed strategies that have worked for businesses like yours.
It delayed their growth. If you know your web and email content are important — but you don’t have the time to figure it out yourself — you procrastinate. You think you’ll tackle it after your busy season, or when you hit your next revenue goal. But this is the type of work that can make a real impact on your bottom line — the longer it stays on your back burner, the longer it’ll be before you start improving results.

Ah, the big question these days. Let’s have a little fun with this one.
We’ll prompt ChatGPT with this: “I have you. Why do I need to even hire a human copywriter or content writer?”
ChatGPT says:
“While I can certainly provide valuable assistance in content creation, there are several reasons why you might still want to consider hiring a human copywriter or content writer:
Creativity and originality: Human writers possess unique perspectives, experiences, and emotions that contribute to their creativity and originality. While I can generate ideas and content, my output is based on existing data, which might not always offer the same level of innovation or freshness.
Context and cultural understanding: As an AI, my knowledge is limited to the information I have been trained on. A human writer is better equipped to understand cultural nuances, evolving trends, and complex social issues that may be relevant to your content.
Tailored content: A human writer can better understand your specific needs and preferences. They can engage in a dialogue to understand your brand voice and target audience, ensuring that your content resonates with your readers.
Ethical considerations: The use of AI-generated content can raise ethical concerns about originality, data privacy, and potential biases. Employing a human writer mitigates these concerns and ensures that your content is created with transparency and responsibility.
Adaptability: Human writers can more easily adapt their writing style, tone, and approach to cater to various types of content and target audiences. While I can mimic different styles, my ability to adapt might not be as nuanced as a human writer.
Collaboration: Working with a human writer allows for a collaborative process, which can lead to the development of stronger content. They can provide valuable insights, brainstorm ideas, and offer constructive feedback to improve your content.
In conclusion, while I can be a valuable tool for content generation, there are still advantages to working with a human copywriter or content writer. By leveraging the unique strengths of both AI and humans, you can create more effective and engaging content.”
Plus, ChatGPT missed one crucial detail: AI-generated is fair use and cannot be copyrighted. The only way to truly own your content is to hire a human to write it.

Content marketing refers to any kind of content that builds awareness, trust, and authority for your brand — but isn’t trying to sell directly. That can include things like blog posts, email newsletters, your “about” page, or email campaigns designed to welcome new customers.
Copywriting, on the other hand, centers around one goal: to sell your stuff. It includes things that are designed to drive action, like product and service descriptions on your site, sales pages, email offers and promotions, or paid social media ads.
I specialize in both content marketing and copywriting — meaning I cater to the entire customer lifecycle, from awareness to purchase and beyond.
-
An email funnel is a series of emails designed to guide your leads or customers toward a specific action. They can range from 5 emails to 25+, depending on your brand, audience, and specific goals.
Once someone shares their email address with you, you can use all kinds of email funnels to drive results throughout the rest of the customer lifecycle. For example:
Awareness: Send a regular newsletter with useful tips and information to attract new subscribers and help them get to know you.
Consideration: Send a series of emails that nurture new leads toward a purchase by providing value and showing how you can solve their problems.
Conversion: Send a special offer or discount that gives leads a final push to make a purchase.
Loyalty: Send a series of emails to welcome new customers, answer common FAQs, and share information to help them get the most from their purchase.
Retention: Send a series of emails to customers who drift away to encourage them to come back and buy again.
Referral: Send a BOGO discount that gives your existing customers a reason to tell their friends about you.
